The Proton R&D team began the Atom Servo project by focusing on what they believe is the most critical factor for servo performance: the frame. After extensive study and testing, the team developed the FRF (20% Fiberglass Reinforced Frame)—a structure engineered to deliver precision, stability, and durability.
The FRF design effectively absorbs distortion and maintains perfect alignment among the key components: gears, motor, and potentiometer. This ensures the Atom Servo achieves exceptional accuracy and smooth gear movement during operation.
Additionally, the FRF includes dual U-grooves on the upper and lower case edges designed to hold O-rings. When assembled, the gear cover and motor cover press the O-rings into place, creating a fully sealed enclosure suitable even for marine applications.
